Hightex wins contract to fabricate and install significant sculpture in France
Hightex is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract to fabricate and install a sculpture in Paris. The sculpture, which will be placed in a prominent Parisian site, will be one of the largest fabric sculptures ever produced and will be the latest work from a world renowned artist. Detailed planning will commence immediately, with with installation to take place in April 2011. Further details of the location and sculptor will be announced before the installation of the project.
Hightex is recognised as a leading partner for large scale artistic projects that require membrane structures; former projects include Anish Kapoor’s “Marsyas”, a famous installation in the Turbine Hall at the Tate Britain gallery and his “Melancholia” membrane sculpture, installed at Museum of Contemporary Art in Brussels, Belgium.
Charles DesForges, Chairman, stated that "Hightex Group is delighted to have been selected for this prestigious project which, by applying its well developed expertise gained from the design and installation of more traditional, large area tensile membrane structures, will also keep the Group in the forefront of artistic creations based on the use of identical organic polymeric materials.”
